The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, has advised those celebrating results of the Saturday’s elections in the territory to do so in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Inalegwu, in a statement on Tuesday, said that this was necessary in order not to jeopardise the existing peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed in the territory.
He said that the command was well prepared to deal decisively with anybody or group of persons planning to breach the peace in the FCT and its environs.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the commissioner’s warning may not be unconnected with those who cashed in on the celebration to molest innocent people in the FCT on Tuesday.
