ASABA—The ambition of Professor Sylvester Monye to govern Delta State received a major boost as thousands of his supporters across the three senatorial districts unanimously declared him as the best candidate to succeed the outgoing governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2015.

Michael Awhawha, coordinator of ‘Monye Supporters Group”,  who disclosed this to newsmen in Warri also noted that Monye, an aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, remains the most credible candidate to govern Delta.

“We have seen the achievements of Uduaghan and the only person that has the capacity and integrity to succeed is Monye, an aspirant with a clean bill of health and has never been linked to the treasury of Delta state since 1999”.

The group noted that the people of Delta state must reject a governor with a questionable track record whose tenure will turn Delta State to a harvest ground for anti-corruption agencies.
