‘Hardwork, diligence, perseverance panacea to success’

Hard work, diligence, dedication and perseverance have been identified as prerequisites that contribute to one’s success in life and towards attaining greater height.

The Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji  Ambaliu Ishola gave this admonition while declaring open a one- day induction programme for Education Officers newly employed by the State Government at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Permanent Secretary said as young officers who have just been employed by the State Government, there is need for the officers to be good ambassadors of the state. He added that they should mind the way they talk, manner of dressing and behaviour.

He urged them against taking any steps or give out any information without an approval from the higher authority.

“In civil service, there are rules and regulations guiding its operation. So this training was purposely organised to train you on the dos and don’ts and code of conduct so as guide you in your daily activities, manner of interacting meaningfully with other staff, how to be loyal to higher authority and financial regulations as related to civil service.”
