Prof. Jehu Nnaji emerges NDC candidate for Enugu East Federal Constituency

Professor Jehu Onyekwere Nnaji has emerged as the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for Enugu East Federal Constituency following the party’s primary election.

His emergence came at the conclusion of the party’s nomination process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Supporters of Nnaji welcomed the outcome of the primary, describing it as a demonstration of confidence in his leadership qualities, academic credentials and vision for the constituency.

A legal scholar and academic, Nnaji is widely known for his contributions to legal studies and public policy discourse.

His supporters expressed optimism that his experience in academia and public affairs would enhance his ability to represent the interests of the constituency effectively.

Speaking after the primary election, members of his campaign team thanked party delegates and stakeholders for their support and pledged to work towards strengthening the party’s position in Enugu East ahead of the general election.

They also appealed for unity among party members, urging aspirants and their supporters to rally behind the party’s candidate.
