BENIN CITY – FEW weeks after Vanguard reported his imminent defection because the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seemes intractable, a prominent member of the party in Oredo local government area, Oteghe Adams has joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

It was gathered that he chose the NDC ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) which was speculated as his destination due to the legal tussles in the ADC.

He has so declared to contest for the Oredo Federal Constituency in the House of Representative’s.

Oredo is the most cosmopolitan local government area in Edo State and it is always open to all political parties.

Confirming the development, Adams told Vanguard that he was in Abuja to attend the coming National Convention of the NDC.

According to him, “I have concluded my consultations and NDC is our destination to join team that will salvage Nigeria. It is obvious that the ruling APC lacked the capacity and does not have direction for Nigeria’s recovery. NDC is the party that will bring Nigeria from the abyss.”

On his ambition, he said “Oredo is very important, it is the most metropolitan constituency in Edo state It is the heartbeat of the state and it must present its first eleven to represent it in the House of Representatives.

“The people need a new brand of representation.” He said.
