…Declare Support for Tinubu, Uba Sani
By Ibrahim Hassan-Wuyo
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State have commended what they described as improved security and increased political inclusion in Southern Kaduna, expressing support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and a House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Anthony Sylvester.
The endorsement was made during a rally in Zonkwa, attended by party members, community leaders, and youth groups ahead of the next general elections.
Addressing the gathering, Sylvester, who is seeking to represent Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, pledged to prioritise inclusive representation, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development if elected.
He said his more than two decades of experience at the National Assembly had prepared him for effective legislative service.
“I was formerly a staff of the National Assembly. I worked there for over 20 years. I understand not just lawmaking, but also how to attract development projects to the grassroots. If after all these years I don’t know what to do, then I am not fit to serve,” he said.
Sylvester also attributed the improved security situation in Southern Kaduna to the efforts of the federal and state governments.
“Before now, gatherings like this were nearly impossible due to insecurity. People lived in fear. Today, there is relative peace and coexistence. Though challenges remain, both the President and the Governor have made commendable progress,” he added.
Also speaking, Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, said improved security had enabled farmers to return to their farms and residents to resume normal economic activities.
He described Sylvester’s aspiration as timely and expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in the constituency in 2027.
According to him, the progress recorded in the area is linked to sustained security efforts and an inclusive approach to governance.
“In the past, organising a rally of this magnitude would have been difficult. Today, the turnout reflects the level of peace being enjoyed. The Governor has also promoted inclusivity through infrastructure development and political appointments,” Adams said.
Similarly, Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Hon. Bege Gaya, expressed optimism that Southern Kaduna would deliver strong support for the APC in future elections.
He said the Governor’s policies on inclusion and development had gained broad acceptance among residents.
