Abuja – In a move blending entrepreneurship with social responsibility, Dr. Samuel Ndubuisi-Brown, Group CEO of Browncon Group, has launched his debut book, “Build With Courage: Faith, Discipline and the Journey of Becoming”, with proceeds dedicated to addressing Nigeria’s growing education crisis.
The unveiling took place during the company’s 10th Anniversary Gala and the launch of the Browncon Care Foundation at the CentrePoint Event Center, attracting business leaders, policymakers, development partners, and other key stakeholders.
The foundation aims to tackle Nigeria’s alarming out-of-school children population, currently estimated at 18.3 million, according to UNICEF, making it one of the highest globally. Ndubuisi-Brown described the initiative as both a moral and strategic response to a national emergency.
“True courage lies not only in building successful enterprises but in creating pathways for others,” he said. “With over 10 million primary school-age children and 8 million secondary school-age children out of school, the private sector must step in decisively.”
The foundation will focus on vulnerable groups most affected by educational exclusion, including rural children, girls from low-income households, and children living with disabilities.
Ndubuisi-Brown’s book blends personal memoir with leadership philosophy, chronicling his 15-year journey through entrepreneurship, climate action, and investment banking. It also presents a framework for faith-driven leadership and disciplined execution, showcasing how business can serve as a catalyst for societal transformation.
The black-tie gala marked more than a corporate milestone; it symbolized a strategic pivot for Browncon Group, signaling its commitment to impact-driven initiatives that address Nigeria’s pressing social challenges.
Industry observers, including Mrs. Ebowo Akinojo, noted that the initiative could set a precedent for greater private sector involvement in education, particularly as government efforts struggle to meet demand.
With the launch of “Build With Courage” and the Browncon Care Foundation, Ndubuisi-Brown is demonstrating that the principles that built his business could also help restore access to education for millions of Nigerian children.
