In a bid to nurture future leaders and instill strong leadership values from an early age, the ADARA Initiative for Child Education, in collaboration with the Ibadan Media Conference, held the March edition of its Future Initiative Programme at Sacred Heart Catholic School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

The outreach brought together students for an engaging session focused on leadership development, emphasizing the importance of understanding their roles as future leaders and starting early to build confidence and purpose.

Speaking during an interview, the Founder of ADARA Initiative for Child Education, Ogundare Racheal Omosewa, highlighted the programme’s significance, stating, “Children are not just leaders of tomorrow; they are leaders in preparation today. It is important that they begin to understand what leadership means, take responsibility, and develop the right mindset early enough to navigate the future with confidence and purpose.”

She added that initiatives like the programme bridge the gap between knowledge and real-life application, equipping children with the values, confidence, and awareness needed to grow into responsible and impactful leaders.

Ade Suyi Temidayo, Convener of the Ibadan Media Conference, echoed the importance of investing in children through education and value-based programmes, noting that empowering young people with the right knowledge and exposure shapes a generation prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.

The guest speaker for the day, Ifedolapo Bayonle, delivered an inspiring session, breaking down leadership into influence, responsibility, and the ability to make positive decisions regardless of age or position. The interactive session saw students actively participate, ask questions, and share their thoughts, reflecting enthusiasm and awareness toward leadership and personal development.

The Future Initiative Programme continues to serve as a platform for empowering students across schools in Ibadan, reinforcing the belief that building a better future begins with equipping the next generation today.
