A United Kingdom based medical doctor, Ayilola Ayotomiwa, has commenced the distribution of 10,000 laptop computers to youths in the country.

Aside the distribution of laptops, the Nigerian medical doctor has enrolled them in free tech schools to learn life-changing skills such as UI/UX design, cybersecurity, web development, project management, and data analysis.

According to him 34 laptops worth N8.84 million, out of total donations of N21,260,000, have been distributed to Nigerian youths under the project after careful and transparent screening process.

Ayotomiwa said that the 10,000 laptops project has officially begun to have impact in the lives of the beneficiaries who cut across all the states of the federation.

“Each laptop-8th generation, fairly used, and carefully sourced at N260,000, was purchased from trusted vendors on X (formerly Twitter), including Neo-Electronics, Val-Gadgets, Spartan Solutions, and Precious Gadgets.

“But this project is about far more than laptops. Behind every device is a dream, a second chance, and the hope of a better future.

“Some beneficiaries are not only receiving laptops but are also being enrolled in free tech schools to learn life-changing skills such as UI/UX design, cybersecurity, web development, project management, and data analysis.

“This was possible because of this project partnership with NIME community.

“We are not simply handing out devices; we are intentionally placing tools of growth into the hands of those who are ready to use them.

“This is why every beneficiary goes through multiple interview stages, assessed by independent panels, before being selected.

“A huge part of this journey has been made possible by Don Jazzy’s extraordinary N20 million donation.

“His generosity has opened doors for countless young Nigerians, giving them a real chance to grow, learn, and become better versions of themselves.

“This single act of belief in Nigerian youth will echo far beyond this project—into homes, communities, and the future of our nation.

“When young people are empowered with opportunity, the impact is profound. Skills replace desperation, purpose replaces idleness, and hope replaces fear.

“Investing in our youth does not only uplift individuals; it strengthens our human development index, boosts economic growth, and helps reduce crime, drug abuse, and other social vices.

“Our youths are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the heartbeat of today. And it is our responsibility to keep investing in them, nurturing them, and helping them grow to meet global standards.

Ayotomiwa said that “Special appreciation goes to Don Jazzy and to everyone who believed in this vision and contributed in any way.

“The journey to empowering 10,000 Nigerian youths has begun with this first step, and we are deeply committed to walking every part of the road until the vision becomes a reality.” he added
