The Rachisols Foundation (RSF) has brought a new lease of life to the Ilupeju Public Library with the successful launch of 2025 Project Enlighten, a mega project aimed at renovating and modernizing public libraries in Lagos State.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Vice-Chairman of Odi-Olowo Local Government – Hon. Niyi Awodogan, the Librarian In-State,  Mrs Kehinde Balogun, the House Leader of Odi-Olowo Local Government – Mr Taiwo Ogungbe, the Chief of Staff of Odi-Olowo Local Government – Hon. Olamilekan Adeyi, the CEO of HS Media Group – Mr. Taye Ige, Pastor of Rockcity Ministries – Pastor Charles Chukwuemezie, and other notable dignitaries.

Secondary school students were also in attendance, getting a first-hand experience of the renovated library and participating in the event via a quiz competition. 

The renovated library, now a modern and conducive hub for learning, is a testament to RSF’s commitment to improving the society, building readers and leaders of tomorrow. RSF’s vision is to remodel at least 10 public libraries in Lagos State by the end of 2030, as part of its education appendage plan.

At the launch event, Ige delivered a stirring talk on the importance of education to the students and guests.

According to RSF Education Appendage Lead, Anthony Agbator, Project Enlighten is a commendable initiative aimed at communicating tangible and intangible aspects of education to create a system that makes knowledge accessible, fostering awareness, empowering individuals, supporting academic success, inspiring intellectual and personal growth that contributes to the overall development of the community.

It is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of students and book lovers in the community. The renovated library will provide a conducive environment for learning and intellectual growth, and it is hoped that it will inspire a new generation of readers and leaders.

The Vice-Chairman of Odi-Olowo Local Government and other guests commended Rachisols Foundation’s efforts towards improving education and literacy in Lagos State and expressed hope that their contributions will positively impact learning in Ilupeju community.
