ABUJA – The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as Renewed Hope Ambassador marks a major political shift for the South East, describing the move as timely, strategic, and nationally significant.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, SERHA said the appointment reflects President Tinubu’s confidence in Uzodimma’s leadership capacity, political loyalty, and track record of promoting national unity.

According to the group, the elevation underscores the President’s recognition of the governor’s ability to strengthen inclusive governance, deepen political cohesion, and consolidate the administration’s Renewed Hope blueprint across the country.

“Governor Uzodimma’s appointment as Renewed Hope Ambassador underscores his unwavering loyalty to Nigeria and the All Progressives Congress (APC),” they stated.

SERHA said Uzodimma has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the ideals of the Renewed Hope mantra, noting that his new national role is expected to expand grassroots mobilisation, reinforce public engagement, and boost public trust in government initiatives.

“It is a clear reflection of the confidence President Tinubu and our great party place in his capacity to deliver on national objectives. His visionary leadership continues to inspire hope, not only in Imo State but across the South East,” the group added.

Highlighting the governor’s stewardship in Imo State, SERHA described Uzodimma as a master strategist whose governance style has transformed the state’s political and socio-economic landscape. It pointed to improvements in infrastructure, strengthened security collaboration, and economic revitalisation as evidence of his effectiveness.

The group added that Uzodimma’s influence extends beyond his state, noting that he has become one of the leading voices advocating for stronger South East integration within the national political framework.

“Governor Uzodimma has proven time and again that he is not just a leader for Imo State but a statesman whose influence resonates across Nigeria. His capacity to unite diverse interests and drive constructive dialogue makes him an invaluable asset to the President’s Renewed Hope vision,” SERHA stated.

Enwere stressed that the governor’s appointment provides the South East with an enhanced platform to push for equity, inclusion, and development within the broader national agenda, describing the role as a win not only for Imo State but for the entire region.

The group congratulated Uzodimma on what it called a well-deserved honour, saying it reflects his political maturity, his commitment to transformational governance, and his proven ability to deliver results despite challenges.

SERHA expressed optimism that the governor’s expanded influence at the national level will usher in more development opportunities for the South East while helping the Tinubu administration consolidate its governance agenda across the country.

“His appointment is not just a victory for Imo State, but for the entire South East and Nigeria as a whole,” the group said.
