Saturday June 21, will remain a memorable day for Prince Adeniyi Nehemiah Aromolaran, the Executive Director of Enterprise Services at the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), as he unveiled his new book to mark his 60th birthday.

The book, which is his first official leadership book, is titled “Leading With Impact: Keys To Avoiding Collateral Damage”.

The grand event, which was held at Muson Centre Onikan, Lagos, witnessed the gathering of eminent Nigerians, colleagues, friends, and family, including the Managing Director/CEO of LSDPC, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph; Managing Director of Remax Realtors Limited, Mrs Funke Adesoji; top government officials and members of the business community.

Fondly called “AA”,  Prince Aromolaran is renowned as a transformational leader with a good track record at LSDPC. A Fellow and Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and a certified IFC/LPI performance development facilitator and trainer,  Prince Aromolaran, studied Finance and Banking at the University of Lagos and has over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

He is also the founder of Nehemiah Resources Limited, an MSME consulting firm supporting startups across Africa. His wealth of experience inspired him to write Leading With Impact, a practical leadership book focused on avoiding what he described as “collateral damage” — the unintended harm leaders can cause when expectations are not properly managed.

In his detailed review, Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Lagos, Professor Abraham Osinubi, described the book as “timely and transformational,” especially in today’s fast-changing world, adding that the book stands out for its emotional honesty and clear message about the human cost of poor leadership.

His words, “This book talks about what many others avoid — the damage done when leaders chase success without empathy.

“Prince Aromolaran addresses the ‘4 Ds’: Disappointment, Disillusion, Depression, and Desperation, as real consequences of failed leadership.

“The author shares not only his leadership wins but also his struggles, prayers, and lessons learned. That’s what makes the book powerful — it is heartfelt and real.”

In his remarks, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph described Aromolaran as a “Team player, very disciplined, and always the first to arrive at the office. Despite being older than me, he’s very supportive and respectful. He motivates everyone around him.”

The book was generally described as a timely resource for African leaders and young people alike. It answers the call for leadership that is visionary, value-driven, and humane.

Excited about the celebration, Aromolaran revealed that he got the inspiration for the book from a legacy project during a leadership course. “We had 21 days to deliver a legacy project, and instead of one, we ended up doing seven,” while explaining that the book explores how missed expectations can derail a person’s path and lead to long-term dissatisfaction.

Speaking further, he said, “My birthday wish is to visit at least five secondary schools in Lagos to speak to students about the ideas in the book.

“No matter the gift you give me, my real joy is in spending time with young people, helping them understand leadership and how to lead themselves, the nation, and the world.”
