…Marks second year with thanksgiving

Jos – The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has marked his second anniversary in office with a passionate call for unity, resilience, and hope for a better Plateau.
In a statewide broadcast on Thursday morning, Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the people for their support and reeled out the achievements of his administration across security, economic revitalization, agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and governance reforms.
He highlighted efforts to secure the state through revitalizing Operation Rainbow, establishing a toll-free emergency line, and supporting security agencies, and noted the successful rollout of the Tin City Metro transport service, the revival of rail transport, and initiatives to boost agriculture, including the distribution of inputs worth ₦16 billion.
He also pointed to achievements in the health and education sectors, such as the recruitment of medical consultants, improved healthcare facilities, and significant increases in scholarship funding.
Other milestones include the restoration of electricity to government offices, the payment of salary arrears, the rehabilitation of over 3,000km of roads, and efforts to transform Plateau into a hub for livestock, tourism, and agro-processing.
Governor Mutfwang pledged to prioritize projects that would enhance urban renewal, job creation, and community development.
Meanwhile, the Governor at the second year in office thanksgiving service held at the Polo Field in Jos expressed gratitude to God, the people of Plateau, and various stakeholders for their support through elections, legal battles, and challenges faced during his tenure.
He emphasized unity, resilience, and faith in overcoming obstacles, while urging citizens to remain steadfast in prayers and collective efforts for a better Plateau. Despite recent attacks in Mushere, Bokkos local government area, he maintained a hopeful outlook, pledging continued service towards a prosperous and united state.
“I stand here today as evidence that God answers prayers,” Mutfwang said. He thanked the people for their prayers, support, and unity across religious and ethnic lines, stressing the need for continued collaboration for the state’s progress.
The event was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and dignitaries, who joined the governor in giving thanks and prayers for Plateau State.
