The FATE Alumni Community has announced plans to hold the 10th Anniversary Edition of FATE Alumni Business Outlook and AGM with the theme: “The Good, The Bad, and the Opportunities,” on February 21, 2025 in Lagos.
Speaking at a media briefing, President, FATE Alumni Executive Committee, Toyin Bakare, said that the business outlook has been a platform for reflection, learning, and collaboration and has as well helped entrepreneurs make sense of economic realities and develop practical strategies for navigating business challenges.
More importantly, she said it has strengthened the FATE Alumni network, fostering meaningful connections that drive partnerships and business success.
Bakere said: “This event is not just another conference; it is a powerful tradition that has shaped the way FATE Alumni approach business growth and sustainability. For ten years, the Business Outlook has been a platform for reflection, learning, and collaboration. It has helped entrepreneurs make sense of economic realities and develop practical strategies for navigating business challenges.
“This year’s theme is particularly significant, it acknowledges the resilience of entrepreneurs while highlighting new frontiers for growth and success,” she said.
Also, Dean & Director, The FATE School, Bambo Adebowale, said that the 2025 business outlook would provide practical strategies to help businesses adapt, innovate, and scale in the face of macroeconomic fluctuations.
He said it will also be a celebration of ten years of impact, insights, and transformation within the FATE Alumni community, adding that the theme is particularly timely given Nigeria’s dynamic economic landscape; entrepreneurs are constantly faced with both challenges and possibilities.
Adebowale said: “When we launched business outlook in 2016, our vision was to create a knowledge-driven forum that would equip entrepreneurs with the tools to navigate the ever-evolving business landscape. We recognized the need for a strategic gathering where real-life business challenges and opportunities could be analyzed with practical solutions.
“Today, that vision has materialized into an impactful event, fostering innovation, resilience, and market positioning for hundreds of businesses.
“At FATE Foundation, we believe in equipping entrepreneurs with the right mindset, frameworks, and support systems to excel and the business outlook, for a decade now, has served as a compass for our alumni, guiding them through economic shifts, policy changes, and market evolution. Over the years, we have seen business leaders leverage insights from this event to scale their operations, pivot effectively, and tap into emerging opportunities.”
On her part, Senior Program Manager & Head, Growth and Alumni Services, Oluwaseun Oshoniyi, added that the event would allow attendees to connect with likeminded people and forge positive business collaborations.
Oshoniyi said: “At FATE Foundation, we are committed to equipping business owners with the knowledge and networks they need to thrive. Over the years, The Business Outlook has addressed critical issues such as market positioning, policy changes, revenue growth, and economic trends.
“Beyond the insights, this event is about community. We recognize that entrepreneurship is a journey best navigated with support, shared experiences, and continuous learning. This 10th-anniversary edition is both a celebration of past successes and a springboard for future opportunities.”
