ALX, a prominent tech career accelerator dedicated to nurturing young talent across Africa, held a Parents Forum in Lagos to unveil its innovative ALX Pathway Programme. This new initiative aims to provide young Africans with the chance to pursue degrees at prestigious partner institutions, equipping them with essential tools and networks to thrive in a competitive global landscape.

The forum offered an engaging platform for parents to learn about the program’s unique offerings, which include access to community peer groups, networking events, mentorship opportunities, and personalized guidance for university applications. Attendees heard inspiring testimonials from current participants and enjoyed a live Q&A session with a representative from the African Leadership University (ALU), one of the program’s esteemed partners.

Country General Manager for ALX in Nigeria, Ruby Igwe, explained the programme’s transformative potential during her address at the event. “The ALX Pathway Programme is designed to bridge the gap between young Africans’ aspirations and global opportunities. By equipping participants with critical resources and networks, we aim to empower the next generation of leaders who will shape Africa’s future on the global stage,” Igwe stated. “Through this forum, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to empowering the next generation of global leaders from Africa.”

Country Growth Manager for ALX Nigeria, Seun Babajide-Duroshola, highlighted the crucial role parents play in their children’s educational journeys. “Parents are essential partners in their children’s journeys. This forum allowed us to engage with them directly, address their questions, and showcase how the ALX Pathway provides transformative opportunities,” he remarked. “Together, we are building a strong foundation of support for participants as they embark on this life-changing journey.”

The event featured an open Q&A session, which provided parents and media representatives with clarity on the program’s application process, engagement structure, and overall impact. This transparent approach reinforced ALX’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for Africa’s youth while fostering trust among stakeholders.
