LAGOS – Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Training Command, NAVTRAC, Apapa, Lagos, Rear Admiral James Akinwale has expressed displeasure over act of indiscipline by some naval personnel under the command, threatening sanctions against them.
Emphasizing the need for military personnel and civilian staff of the command to distinguish themselves in areas commonly ignored by the general public, such as use of helmet while ridding on motorcycles, Akinwale also warned against driving against traffic, pointing out that it was part of Federal Government order and as such, naval personnel must be in the forefront of implementing and enforcing such order.
Speaking while inspecting a parade to mark the end of his second bi-annual inspection of ships and personnel under his command, Akinwale said: “While I commend your good behavior and comportment generally, I must also express my displeasure at the few bad eggs in our midst. Let me emphasize that indiscipline will continue to be sanctioned.
This means that those with negative behaviors will either bend or break. It is instructive that we remain disciplined military personnel and civilian staff in this command.”
