Immiflex debuts to boost impaired immune systems

By CHIOMA OBINNA

Hope was last week rekindled for Nigerians with impaired immune system as Bolar Pharmaceutical Ltd and a United States of America based immune health company, Biothera, introduced Immiflex, a natural product formulated to enhance and support the immune system.

Chief Executive, Bolar Pharmaceutical Limited, Mr. Bolade Soremekun, noted during the official launch of the product in Lagos, that immiflex has a natural priming effect on the innate immune system, the body’s first line of defence against infection.

Soremekun explained that the type of beta glucan found in immiflex is derived from the cell wall of Baker’s yeast and has been shown highly effective at optmising immune function in studies.

Giving reasons why the product should be part of everyone’s daily nutritional programme, International Sales Manager for Biothera, USA, Mr. Allen Porter said there has been a significant decline in the one time high dietary consumption of beta glucan.

He said changes in the production of wine, beer and bread as well as wide-spread fungicide use have removed much of the beta glucan from our diet.

Launching the product, Lagos State Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr. Yewande Adesina, said the company focus to develop its own brands based on unique and natural ingredients and products provide viable options for disease management.

A recent study by WHO shows that 80 percent of world population relies on natural products stated that eating right, exercising and sleeping well all play important roles in boosting body immunity leading to prevention of infection and disease.
