Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has congratulated Senator Anyim Pius Anyim on his appointment as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, by President Goodluck Jonathan.

In a letter to Anyim, he described the appointment as well deserved, even as he commended the choice of the President.

The letter read in part:  “I must also commend the President for choosing a man of your experience for the office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, because of its critical position in achieving the cardinal agenda of his administration.”

He further said that the appointee’s experience in the legislative and civil service sectors would give him the wherewithal to meet the demands of the job.

The letter further read: “While wishing you God’s speed. Please count on me and indeed, the Senate as partners in this new assignment.” Senator Ekweremadu said.
