Suswam pledges to consolidat​e on achievemen​ts

MAKURDI – After winning the last gubernatorial election in Benue State, Governor Gabriel Suswam has assured that his government would strive to consolidate on the achievements it has recorded in the last four years in order to properly position the state on the path of sustainable growth and development.

Suswam maintained that the reforms by his government which has repositioned the state for growth and development would also be sustained.

 The Governor who spoke to newsmen at the weekend in Makurdi, stressed that he is determined to bequest to the people a state that would be self sustaining and economically buoyant.

According to the Governor, “The next four years would be dedicated to work, work and work; because my passion is to ensure the transformation of our state which had suffered neglect in the past”.

“And to do this as a government we would need to redouble our efforts at ensuring that the targets we have set for ourselves are met without any excuses”.

“This is the time to move our state to another level of development, we cannot afford to slack or fail because the future is ours and we must start today to actualize it”, Governor Suswam added.

Suswam stressed the need for every Benue indigene to work in consonance with the vision of his administration in order to aid the people confront the challenges of development in the state.

He further emphasized that his administration would not renege on the social contract it has entered with the people of the state when they overwhelmingly voted him at the last gubernatorial election; assuring that he would not fail the people.

“I will not fail the ordinary Benue indigene who turned out massively to ensure my reelection; my victory is for them and I promised that my second term in office will witness monumental infrastructural development in our dear state”, he said.
