Come 12th of March,Nsukka trained artist,Joseph Eze will present his new experiment on how to take care of the environment in a solo exhibition titled Hyphen. The exhibition which will be his third solo effort will be held at Nike Art Gallery, Lekki and will run till 19th of March,.

Addressing the press on the show, Eze stated that the solo exhibition titled Hyphen is to test fresh ideas and bring something new to the audience. “I want to use the show to drive the message home to fellow artists especially younger ones coming out from schools that an artists should not remain a particular type of artists. And also to challenge the sensibility of the artists who may have other ways but refused to use them for example one can be an artist and a designer, painter and furniture/fabbric designer.You can combine your creative work and do other things to make money rather remaining like that.”

Th exhibition will feature about 20 works of paintings on canvas /fabrics and installations. Some of the works includes an installation titled Life band, made from recycled slippers and hand painted fabric. It chronicles the life in the city of Lagos, the different aspects of life as experienced in Lagos, its extravagant party culture , the night life, migrations, developments and others. Woman with a rose”[mixed media] which talks about human desires and anxiety, Tired nanny [acrylic] and it talks about the nanny culture in Lagos and others.
