Ilorin – The Kwara Government has approved 100 per cent increment in the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (COMESS) for its 15 newly employed medical consultants.

The Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Ladi Hassan, made the announcement on Friday in Ilorin while briefing health management officers on the activities of the ministry.

He said Gov. Bukola Saraki approved the increment to boost the morale of the medical experts to put in their best.

Hassan said medical doctors in government service had been enjoying the increment since 2010.

“Medical doctors in the state have been receiving COMESS since 2010. Government has decided to include the newly employed consultants to enjoy the same benefit,” he said.

The commissioner reiterated government’s commitment to the provision of quality health delivery service to the people.

He urged medical personnel in the state to reciprocate government’s good gesture with more commitment and efficient service delivery.
