FIVE persons are reportedly being interrogated at the state police headquarters in Asaba, over their alleged involvement in  printing of fake voter’s cards.

The purpose for the mass printing of the voters cards was not immediately ascertained as police kept the arrest to  their chest despite several inquiries over the arrest, yesterday.

State Police command’s spokesman , Mr. Charles Muka, when asked to confirm the arrest said “nothing like that”, but a reliable source told our reporter yesterday night that “the arrested persons involved in the fake cards have made useful statements.”

The source further told  our reporter that “the matter is very sensitive as some  big men are involved and police is handling it  with care as one of the gubernatorial candidates during the recent rerun is pressing and wants the police to look into the matter properly, he stated.
