Mr Daniel Reyenieju, who currently represents the Warri Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, was Sunday, re-elected to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming elections into the House of Representatives for the Warri Federal Constituency.
In a PDP primaries election conducted in Nanna College, Warri, Delta State, yesterday, for the two aspirants ( Messrs Daniel Reyenieju and Chris Ojeke) contesting for the slot, Reyenieju pulled 577 votes as against his opponent, Chris Ojeke, who pulled three votes, while one was voided.
The process, which experienced a heavy presence of security personnel was peaceful and orderly with the counting of the votes done publicly.
Speaking to Vanguard, after the election, Reyenieju expressed joy over the conduct of the primaries and congratulated his opponent for the show of sportsmanship.
He said, “I congratulate my brother and co-contestant for the display of sportsmanship.”
