The Emel Group has established a new division to supply a broad range of cables to the Nigerian market. The Group has signed a distribution deal with Concordia Cables UK, a major player in Security, Data, Telecom, Power, Construction, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas Cables and cable accessories market.
The Emel Group in the last 40 years has established itself as an integral part of the growing Nigerian economy offering variety of products, including house ware, building materials, office furniture and automobiles.
The Group working in partnership with Concordia Cables UK, showcased its products at the Nigeria Infrastructure Forum & Exhibition in, Lagos.
“Our entry into the cable and cable accessories market represents a significant growth opportunity for the Emel Group, and is consistent with Emel’s traditional strength to diversify and innovate, while following a market-minded, customer-oriented path,” said Vinay Sainani, General Manager, Emel Cables Limited said.
According to Sainani, Emel Group decided to establish a new division to supply and sell standard cabling products to Nigerian industries from Telecoms, Power T & D, and Data, Security, to Oil & Gas, Aviation, Defense and other sectors.
He explained that the partnership reinforces the strategic intent of the Emel Group to enhance the cabling experience for the Nigerian customer by offering high quality products that meets international standard.
He added that quality products from the stable of Concordia will address the concerns about unsafe and counterfeit cables currently available in the Nigerian marketplace.
He said the knowledge and experience of Emel Group in supplying the needs of the Nigerian market and the vast cable experience of Concordia Cables will offer the Nigerian customer an unrivalled Cable solution.
Also speaking at the event, Jeremy Kemsley – Pein,Executive Chairman, Concordia Cables UK, noted that Concordia Cables has been manufacturing and supplying cables to UK. and international clients for more than 100 years and has established a high reputation for quality approved cables that meet national and international standards.
He stressed that Concordia cables are UL Listed and CSA Certified and are manufactured to meet the highest standards required by customers. He explained that Concordia cables, a member of British Cable Association, is committed to supporting the Approved Cables Initiative (ACI) which addresses the issue of unsafe, non-approved and counterfeit cables in the UK market place.
Concordia Cables and Emel Group showcased a number of cable ranges at the exhibition which includes Data Cables including Cat 7 & Cat 7a, Telecoms Cables, Solar Cables, Security Cables (CCTV, Alarm, etc.), Construction and Power Cables (LV/MV/HV).
