Group calls for good governance in Delta

WARRI— The Delta Sisters & Brothers In Politics, a socio-political group comprising all the ethnic nationalities in Delta State, has called for transparency and good governance in the state in order to ensure growth and sustainable development.

The leader of the group Mrs. Juliana Edenaye, made this assertion during a two-day conference held in Warri.

She said that development could only take place when leaders were accountable to the people and transparency was seen in leadership.

The group also through a communique, praised Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, the South-South leader, for his struggle towards good governance in the state.

They used the opportunity to call on Deltans to ensure that they come out to register enmass in the forthcoming voter registration exercise to ensure their right to vote. They called on political leaders of the state to eschew violence in the forthcoming general elections in Delta State.
