ABUJA – It is a gathering of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts at the Wadata Plaza, national secretariat of the party.

Kwankwaso
It is the 81st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the PDP convened to formally receive defectors to the fold of the party.
The biggest arrival yet are the former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso until recently, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Sokoto state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Also seated in the NEC Hall, venue of the meeting is the lawmaker representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Dino Melaye and until recently Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ibeto.
Other party chieftains at the meeting include Cross River State governor, Professor Ben Ayande, former Special Duties Minister, Tanimu Turaki, former Jigawa state governor Sule Lamido and Senator Abdul Ningi.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, according to reliable sources, is being expected.
