Clerics
Kuje (FCT) – A cleric, Istifanus Koce, has called on Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, perseverance, tolerance, steadfastness and love for national unity.
Koce, who is the Reverend of ECWA Good News Church in Kuje made the call in his message during the service on Sunday.
He stressed the need for unity, discipline, trust, integrity and fear of God for the country to move forward.
According to him, every man has limited number of days to live on earth, adding that peaceful coexistence and unity would justify everyone on the last day
“An individual life, success or failure depends on unity and God’s favour will do more for you than a lifetime of striving and embarking on fruitless journey.
“Stay united and redeem your time while on earth because life at its best is very brief and your cry may be just too late,” he said.
The cleric called on politicians and those at the helm of the nation’s affairs to close ranks and put national interest at heart.
He said Nigeria had made substantial progress in its efforts to attain a developed economy since independence.
The cleric urged the youth to be agents of good governance and peaceful co-existence as being championed by the present administration.
He solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders in the Area Council for development.
The cleric said that the desired development at the grassroots could only be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of rancor and acrimony. (NAN)
