Udyfoods expands African food processing, distribution

Nigerian food processing and distribution company, Udyfoods 360 Limited, founded by entrepreneur Uduak Odungide, is expanding its product range and distribution network as it seeks to make African food ingredients more accessible to households and businesses.

Established in 2018 as a home-based palm oil business, the company has grown into a food processing, packaging and distribution enterprise with outlets in Lagos and Abuja.

According to the company, it served approximately 20,000 customers in 2025, reaching consumers across about 20 states in Nigeria.

Its product portfolio has expanded beyond palm oil to include African food condiments, spices, grains, seafood and frozen proteins.

Odungide, who spent 15 years working in oil and gas finance, left the sector in 2023 to focus fully on growing the business.

One of the company’s milestones was securing approval from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for its Banga Paste, supporting the expansion of its processed African food products.

Beyond its direct sales, Udyfoods said it contributes to the agricultural value chain through local sourcing and partnerships with farmers, processors, suppliers, logistics providers and distributors.

The business also provides employment opportunities and supports livelihoods across its operations.

Odungide has extended her entrepreneurial activities to training through the Foodstuff Creators Academy, where she mentors aspiring and established foodstuff business owners.

The academy’s programmes cover business planning, pricing, inventory management, record keeping and profitability, equipping participants with practical skills for managing foodstuff businesses.

Looking ahead, Udyfoods plans to increase production capacity, invest in modern processing and packaging equipment, expand palm oil processing and introduce smaller packaging options, including 250ml palm oil sachets.

The company also intends to strengthen its distribution network and grow its frozen protein business.

Its long-term goal is to establish itself as a trusted African food processing and packaging brand while supporting local agriculture, creating employment and improving access to food products.

Customers can access the company’s products and services through its website and physical outlets.
