Nigeria-American fast-rising music act, Chinedu James Udom, popularly known as CJBLAYZ, has released four new singles in a bold move to cement his presence on the global music scene.
The singles, Fear No Evil, Cfireburn, Better Future, and Energy 2, signal what the artist describes as a defining moment in his career, driven by creative momentum and a determination to connect with audiences beyond borders.
Speaking in a recent interview, CJBLAYZ said the back-to-back releases were deliberate, reflecting a surge of inspiration and a desire to make a strong first impression.
“I dropped these four singles because I’m in a moment where my drive is unstoppable. I wanted the world to feel that energy. I’m showing I can give you back-to-back hits with no delay,” he said.
Blending African influences with a contemporary global sound, the Imo State-born artiste said his music is designed to transcend entertainment, positioning him as a lifestyle brand rooted in ambition and creativity.
“I’m not just making music; I’m building an empire, music, fashion, inspiration. I bring a whole lifestyle,” he added.
According to him, each of the singles carries a distinct message while maintaining a unifying theme of hope and perseverance. He described Energy as deeply personal, reflecting his struggles and resilience, while Better Future speaks to a broader vision of optimism.
“‘Energy’ feels more personal. It’s literally my story, the fire that kept me going,” he explained. “The other track is about that ‘Better Future’ I see for everyone.”
Further amplifying his reach, CJBLAYZ also collaborated with Jamaican-American artiste Crucial FIYA on Fear No Evil, a track he described as an anthem of courage.
“‘Fear No Evil’ is a bold anthem of courage, and we’re currently working on the video. Expect it to drop soon, so stay tuned for that surprise,” he said.
The artist noted that his mission goes beyond music, aiming to inspire listeners to pursue their dreams relentlessly despite challenges.
“I want listeners to feel unstoppable, like whatever their dreams are, they can get up and chase them,” he said.
CJBLAYZ revealed that his creative process is emotion-driven, built on persistence and careful crafting of sound.
“I start with the feeling, build the beat, and we craft until it’s fire,” he said.
Tracing his journey, the artiste disclosed that he began his creative career in fashion design in Africa before transitioning fully into music, a background that continues to shape his artistic identity.
“My journey began in Africa, designing fashion, then I turned that creative energy into music,” he revealed.
Like many independent acts, he admitted facing challenges, including moments of doubt, but said his vision kept him going.
“I almost gave up when doors didn’t open, but my vision wouldn’t let me quit,” he said.
Looking ahead, CJBLAYZ hinted at plans to release a full Extended Play (EP) and collaborate with notable artistes, as he targets a wider global audience.
“Next? You’re getting a full EP, this is just the beginning. Watch out for some big names, I’m always working on something,” he said.
He also expressed confidence in performing on international stages in the near future.
“Next year, I see myself on bigger stages, global reach, taking the world by storm,” he added.
For CJBLAYZ, the ultimate reward lies in the impact of his music on listeners.
“The most surprising reaction? People telling me my song made them want to chase their dream, that’s priceless,” he said.
As he continues to build his brand, the rising star hopes to be remembered for resilience, creativity, and inspiration.
“If my singles were a message,” he said, “they say, ‘You got this, don’t stop.’”
