His professional career began with the Kaduna State Local Government Service Commission, where he served as an Assistant Executive Officer in the Legal Department between 2001 and 2015. It was during these formative years that he developed a strong understanding of institutional systems and the critical role leadership plays in societal development.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to learning and professional growth, Hon. Adamu pursued an impressive academic path that reflects the breadth of his interests and expertise. He holds a Diploma in Law, a Degree in Political Science, a Second Degree in Public Administration, a Postgraduate qualification in Journalism, and a Professional Doctorate in Leadership. Beyond public service, Hon. Adamu has distinguished himself as an entrepreneur and institution builder with a passion for long-term impact. Recognizing the growing need for quality healthcare education in Nigeria, he founded Zanata College of Health and Allied Sciences, an institution dedicated to training future healthcare professionals and advancing educational excellence within the sector.
His commitment to information, storytelling, and responsible journalism also led to the establishment of Global Focus Africa News, a media platform created to amplify African narratives, spotlight development issues, and strengthen global engagement through credible journalism. Through the platform, he continues to advocate for balanced reporting and greater visibility for African innovation, leadership, and progress.
In 2017, Hon. Adamu expanded his entrepreneurial footprint with the launch of Za&Ra Global Systems Ltd, where he currently serves as Chairman. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a multifaceted enterprise operating across multimedia, agriculture, export, and strategic business development. Its mission centers on fostering sustainable economic opportunities, supporting innovation, and building international partnerships capable of driving growth across sectors.
Today, Hon. Adamu serves as the Director General of the Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development of Nigeria (ILAD), an institution focused on cultivating leadership excellence and advancing executive education. Through ILAD, he leads initiatives aimed at policy development, leadership certification, and professional capacity building for leaders across both public and private sectors. His work continues to influence conversations around ethical leadership, governance standards, and institutional development in Nigeria and beyond.
His passion for public service reached another milestone in 2023 when he contested as a candidate for the Federal House of Representatives.
