An NCCC statement made available to Vanguard in Uyo, Akwa Ibom yesterday, noted that the award was conferred on Otti in Umuahia weekend at the NCCC hosted Security Prayer Meeting.
Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi, Corps Commanding Officer, who led the prophetic session at the Summit noted that Otti was most deserving of the award for outstanding development strides, gradual restoration of security and public trust in communities across all 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
Governor Alex Chioma Otti, was formally conferred with the “Statesman Restoration & Security Award,” a national patriotic recognition for spiritual leadership, peace, and governance, honouring Governor Otti’s visionary commitment to civic order and the security of Abia State.
The award was received on behalf of the Governor by the

CSP ‘The Preacher’ Evongwa who also delivered a message of solidarity and strategic cooperation.
Chaplain Alimi explained that, “Otti is being formally conferred with the prestigious Statesman Restoration and Security Award, a national recognition for spiritual leadership, peace, and governance, honouring the Abia Governor’s visionary commitment to civic order and the security of Abia State.”
He prayed that under Otti, God would uproot every foundation of insecurity, fear, corruption, and division, and establish a new season of peace, development, and unity in Abia State.
He declared that Nigeria shall remain indivisible, sovereign, and aligned with divine purpose, and that no force of instability shall prevail over the nation.
He stated that Abia carries a spiritual identity that must be preserved through righteousness, justice, unity, and godly leadership as the state has Biblical/Hebrew roots as “Abijah,” which translates to “Yahweh is my Father,” signifying a land set apart and blessed by God.
“Broken walls are being rebuilt, foundations restored, and the land dwells in peace. declare end of violence, criminality and political bitterness; the enthronement of peace and economic stability; restoration of security and public trust; and the healing of communities across Abia”, he further prayed.
The security prayer summit attracted heads of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), among others, alongside Commanding Officers of the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps from Anambra, Enugu, and Imo States.
Chaplain Dr. Joel Kelechi Ezirim, Commanding Officer, Abia State Command and Chaplain (Venerable) Gerald Ugochukwu Nwabuisi, Rector of Trinity Theological College, both prominent in the local coordination of the event commented participants and the outcome.
The summit served as a clarion call to citizens that the security of the Abia is not merely a tactical effort but a spiritual covenant, with appeal for citizens to rise above fear, division and political hostility to embrace unity, peace, and national development.
