In a significant move to enhance youth employability and drive digital literacy, the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction and Small Business Training Solutions (SBTS).

The agreement, signed at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, aims to scale up capacity building under the Federal Government’s NPower Programme. President/CEO of DBI, Mr. Daser David, signed on behalf of the institute; Managing Director of SBTS, Mr. Evelyn Lewis, represented the training firm; while the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Yakubu Kofamata, signed for the government.

The strategic collaboration is designed to equip Nigerian youths and vulnerable populations with globally competitive digital skills that align with the federal government’s poverty reduction and economic inclusion goals.

Mr. David emphasized DBI’s commitment to bridging Nigeria’s digital divide through cutting-edge training. “This collaboration underscores our mission to build a competent, future-ready workforce through world-class ICT education,” he said.

Under the MoU, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs will provide policy backing, facilitate enrolment, and integrate the program into NPower. SBTS will deploy its Intelligent Capacity Building Model (ICBM) and facilitate job placements via its vast corporate networks.

DBI, as Nigeria’s premier ICT training institute, will deliver the training through its expert faculty and advanced facilities across the six geopolitical zones.

To ensure efficiency and impact, a Joint Steering Committee will be constituted to oversee the program’s implementation, monitor progress, and track outcomes.

According to Mr. David, the partnership is a “significant leap toward empowering Nigerian youths and creating viable pathways to employment and entrepreneurship in the digital economy.”
