Akure, Nigeria – JARUSKINCARE, a prominent plant-based cosmetics and skincare brand in Nigeria, has launched a new campaign advocating for the integration of skincare into Nigeria’s national healthcare policies.

They affect people’s health, self-esteem, and well-being. Our goal is to foster a nationwide conversation about the need to integrate skincare into public health policy, particularly in rural areas where access to professional dermatological services is limited.”
In many parts of Nigeria, preventable skin conditions remain untreated due to insufficient access to healthcare, particularly in rural communities. These conditions can lead to long-term health consequences, both physically and psychologically, yet they are often left unaddressed due to a lack of public health initiatives focused on skin care.
By raising awareness about the connection between skincare and overall health, JARUSKINCARE is calling on the Nigerian government to consider skincare as an essential service within public health programs. The brand’s campaign aims to highlight the role that “skincare” can play in preventing common conditions such as acne, eczema, and other dermatological issues that are prevalent across the country.

Anozie added, “The inclusion of skincare in healthcare policy could lead to better prevention, early intervention, and treatment of skin conditions across the country, especially in underserved communities. Our research will aim to demonstrate that plant-based products can offer accessible, affordable solutions to many of the challenges Nigerians face with their skin health.”
As part of the campaign, JARUSKINCARE has committed to increasing awareness of skin health through educational initiatives. This includes distributing informational materials on preventing and treating common skin conditions, particularly in areas where access to healthcare resources is limited.
