Popular Nigerian artist and comedian, Enubianozor Emeke, a.k.a. Mecoyo is set to unveil his journal at the end of this month during a ‘show that promises to be huge.’
Themed ‘Mecoyo Journal, the Genesis’ the Ukwuani, Delta State born comedian said in a statement made available to Vanguard, that the event promises to be a ‘mother of shows’, owing to the quality of the programmes lined up for the event.
Mecoyo said “Nigerians deserve the best from the country’s ‘rich entertainment industry, disclosing that the unveiling of his journal will also feature at the show, which would be robust and all-encompassing, is fixed for August 21, 2022.
The accountant-turned comedian said, his shows are “loaded to give maximum entertainment” to his audience, describing himself as a prolific, ethical and humorous compère, radio host, actor and event consultant.
According to Mecoyo, “Call me an all round entertainment businessman and you will not be wrong. I am a determined young man, who is passionate about impacting the world through my craft and influence.
Giving a lowdown on himself, he said, “As a comedian, I have won the Ay Open Mic Challenge and have also shared the stage with virtually all the big names in the entertainment industry. I have performed at several events such as AY Live held in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Warri.”
He further revealed that other notable shows he has performed were the: “Alibaba January 1st Concert, Stand up Nigeria, Seyilaw Fast and Funny, Oxymoron of KennyBlaq Funnybone Untamed, Akpororo VS Akpororo amongst others.
“Also, in 2020 I was one of the finalists at the Next Naija Comedy Star talent reality show. As far as am concerned, there is never a dull moment as I have the ability to swiftly understand my environment and flow accordingly,” he stated, adding that his ability to eloquently communicate in English, Ukwani, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo Languages, are his cutting edge and advantage over his contemporaries in the industry.
Further, Mecoyo stated that he has bagged several nominations and awards from 2014 till date, a development he said, has boosted and added to his acting career in no small measure.
“My contents ranges from Stand-up comedy, hilarious skits, short films are all available on my social media channels. The attendants of the August 21 event are in three categories namely: Clerk Seat, #5000; Auditors Seat on the table, #60,000 while the Board Seat of 10 goes for #500,000,” the Ndokwa-born stated, adding that the time has come for the Federal Government to give more support for the entertainment industry for greater productivity.
