A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Perekeme Kpodoh, in Bayelsa State, has mocked the state governor, Mr  Seriake Dickson, over his alleged frequent trips outside the state, saying the trips are wasteful and affecting the good governance of the state.

According to Chief Kpodo, though the governor  needed to partner  investors and politicians for the good of the state,  the recent rise in his trips outside the state had not attracted investors and development but had rendered the state government activities dead and the people in a state of confusion.

Kpodoh, who is a chieftain of APC in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state  and former Security Adviser to the state governor, in statement said that the decision of the state governor to abandon the state and junket outside showed that he has lost touch with realities of governance.

According to him, “These frequent travels are without benefits. We can count how many days he has travelled. Many issues need attention in Bayelsa. Look at the Isaac Boroh expressway project, is that the way Julius Berger works? It is poor and slow, it is becoming a death trap at night for residents driving along that way.”
