FC Ifeanyi Ubah goalkeeper and captain, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has vowed his readiness to prove himself again if given the nod to start in tomorrow’s decisive FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifying game with Zambia tomorrow at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, here in Uyo.

In the absence of first choice goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, Ezenwa won his first and second caps for Eagles in last month’s games with Cameroon, putting up fine displays to win the hearts of Nigerian fans who were albeit skeptical at first.

But Akpeyi has since recovered from the injury that stopped him the last time and is dreaming of manning the post tomorrow.

But speaking in a session with reporters here yesterday, Ezenwa said he was warming up to the prospects of playing tomorrow, vowing to put up a flawless performance to earn Nigeria a ticket to the World Cup.

“I have a very healthy competition with Akpeyi. He is a good goalkeeper but I proved myself last time and if given the chance again I will try to prove myself again”.
