Triumphant Christian Centre holds 19th annual convention

The annual convention of the Triumphant Christian Centre begins on Tuesday and will end on Sunday. According to the senior pastor of the church, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Olubiyo, the convention which is in its 19th edition also symbolically marks the anniversary of the church.

The convention is code named NATAR which is an acronym for ‘Now, All Things Are Ready’. Pastor Olubiyo explained that the phrase which comes from Luke 14:17 in the Bible was the revelation he heard from God in 1998, that led to the birth of the church which has continued to enjoy numerical as well as spiritual growth over the years.

According to him, “the importance of the convention is evidenced by the fact that it has had in attendance great men of God like Bishop David Oyedepo, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and Pastor David Ibiyeomie among others.

Pastor Olubiyo, a televangelist and host of “You Will Get There!” a television programme, explained that the theme of this year’s convention is “Empowerment for Divine Visitation”. It is holding at the church premises on TCC Victory Land, Plot 23 Akanni Doherty Street, off Oba Akran Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos.

Pastor Olubiyo further explained that the convention NATAR is not just a gathering of God’s saints, but an encounter with God and His Word that will bring about the release of irreversible blessings.

He said NATAR also represents the annual spiritual convocation of God’s people in celebrating the faithfulness of the Lord in the impacting anniversary of the ministry. “It is a time to receive the Word, give ourselves to prayers, to engage the ministry of the Holy Spirit for empowerment and a time of spiritual revival for impact in our world”, he said

The convention will have various sessions that are designed to disciple, mature, equip and empower God’s people to take full delivery of their blessings in Christ for a triumphant and unending victorious life.

There are sessions for marital and fruitfulness, healing and deliverance, impartation on ministries, business and career as well as anointing and thanksgiving services.

Nigeria, according to him, “is a great country with great people and resources both in human and material that are unequalled and can only be supernatural. My prayer is that God will uphold our President and his cabinet members, that during their time, our great Nation will make significant progress and experience the much sought change and transformation that will reposition the country in global recognition and development. With selfless, focused and exemplary purpose and people-oriented leadership, Nigeria will get there!”
