PORT HARCOURT — FORMOST pro-democracy group in Nigeria, National Democratic Coalition, NADECO, has expressed worries with the state of affairs in the country, saying it had slated a conference in Washington DC, the United States on the way forward.
Uyi Meshack and Dr Miller Melford, who spoke to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State said the conference will x-ray all issues at the front burner of debates in the country, adding that restructuring of the Nigeria federation will also be among matters for discussion.
He said the conference will be co-hosted by the Institute for Strategic and Development Studies, ISDS.
He said: “A consensus seems to have emerged among the political titans that Nigeria urgently needs a wholesale review to prevent any political faction from oppression or persecution.”
“To this end, a historic Nigerian conference to be hosted and organised by NADECO and Institute for Strategic and Development Studies in Washington D.C,” they said.
