Kinsmen protest sack of Edo APC scribe

By Gabriel Enogholase

BENIN—KINSMEN of the sacked state Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Mr. Godwin Erhahon, yesterday, took to the streets of Ologbo Nugu in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state to protest his removal.

The protesters, made up old men, women, youths and members of APC in Unit 3 Ugu Ward 9, called on the state executive of the party to investigate allegations of anti-party activities levelled against Erhahon.

They insisted that the allegation that he (Erhahon) voted against Governor Godwin Obaseki during the last governorship election in the state and displayed his voter’s card was not only false, but an attempt to call a dog a bad name in order to hang it.

Spokesmen for the community, Chief Gaius Eheneden, Mr. Jimoh Erhiamiator (APC Chairman in the area) and Godwin Aigbogun, a political activist, said the matter is either properly investigated or the party will die in the area.
