ENUGU—THE Enugu State Transport Bureau is to subject traffic offenders  in the state to psychiatric tests in addition to penalties.

The Transport Bureau, which started work in the state  on Monday is aimed at sanitaizing traffic misconducts, to ensuring that roads are safe for users.

Commissioner for Transport in the state, Hon. Vitalis Okechi, who made the disclose in an interview with newsmen in Enugu said that the officials were adequately trained by the police, military and Roads Safely officials and are courteous in discharging their duties.

The commissioner assured residents of the state that his workers will not engage in extortion but will not compromise their duty with laxity.
