BIRNIN KEBBI—GOVERNOR Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State, yesterday, swore in 20 of the 21 local government council chairmen elected July 15 and charged them to be self-reliant.

He warned that henceforth, government will no longer borrow money from other local government’s account to give them to pay salary.
Those sworn in are: Abubakar Aleiro, Aleiro; Musa Tungulawa, Argungu; Alhaji Bello Mamuda, Bunza; Sulei-man Kardi, Birnin Kebbi; Mohammed Danhakimi, Bagudo; Usman Jega, Jega; Mohammed Jarkuka, Arewa, and Shehu Dalijan, Gwandu.
Others are Maidamma Daji, Maiyama; Garba Dila, Dandi; Shuaibu Ibrahim, Koko-Besse; Umaru Maigand, Suru; Samaila Augie, Augie; Suleiman Shindi, Danko-Wasagu; Musa Jarmaand, Fakai, and Musa Mohammed, Yauri.
The rest are Aminu Arzika, Shanga; Moha-mmed Umar, Sakaba; Mohammed Umar, Zuru, and Garba Warrah, Ngaski.
Chairman of Kalgo council, Alhaji Umar Diggi, was not sworn in.
