An indigenous company, AOS Orwell is partnering with Emerson Automation Solutions to sensitise oil and gas companies on operational challenges associated with Shutdown, Turnaround and Outages (STO).

Speaking at a workshop organized by the company in Port Harcourt, the Executive Director Sales and Marketing, AOS Orwell, Mr. Akeem Ariyo, said that the partnership is aimed at deepening and building local content capacity by investing in Nigeria for Nigerians.

Also speaking, Director Lifecycle Services, Emerson Middle East and Africa, Mr. Sathi K, said that he is in Nigeria to listen to valued customers about the challenges they are facing and discuss how Emerson can help mitigate those challenges through technology and expertise.

Emerson’s Country Manager, Nigeria, Mr Sanjeev Sharma, stated that Emerson has been investing in Middle East and Africa including Nigeria to serve its customers faster with global quality.

Topics discussed at the workshop include; systems and solutions, measurement devices, pervasive sensing, flow measurement, final control, training and competency development.
