ABRAKA – A popular hotelier at the Delta State University community, Abraka, Monday set himself ablaze in his father’s house close to his hotel.

The hotelier was said to have died from the inferno while properties worth thousands of naira in the apartment where damaged.

Giving details of the incident, an executive of the Abraka vigilante said the victim mysteriously set himself ablaze.

Though efforts to get details of the incident from the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka was fruitless as at press time, a security source at the Abraka police station said investigations into the matter is ongoing.

“We would not treat the matter like murder as it is being speculated, as security agencies, we would investigate in all avenues and make our report,” the source added.
