Baby seeks N0.4m to save her sight

Save my daughter!  This is the cry of  Faith Akarikor, 22, mother of three-month old Miracle Akarikor to Nigerians to save her daughter’s sight.

According to Faith: “At birth, a swelling was discovered at the back of the baby’s head. She was born at the General Hospital, Epe via SVD.

“The swelling that was assumed to be a boil at first, gradually progressed in size until it became a turmoil that comes with fever.

“Several examinations were done on her and she was diagnosed of Cranial Encephalocele.

“After the examination, we were given a referral letter to University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan for proper treatment. The doctor that attended to us earlier made it clear that, the case is better handled at the UCH, otherwise, the child would be transferred abroad.

“Currently my baby’s health is deteriorating. The medical report recommended  surgery  estimated at N400,000.

“I am helpless, I want people to save my baby’s life.

According to the referral letter from the UCH’, “On examination, the swelling measures 10cm x 9cm cystic.
