MONARCHS in Ondo South Senatorial District have tasked the  AD candidate, Olusola Oke, on redressing perceived marginalisation of the  people of the zone in the scheme of things in the state by the current government.

Speaking on the issue, the Ajobu of Araromi-Obu, Oba Aderemi Adelola and the Regent of Ayesan, High Chief Richard Olaleye, said the state needs an experienced administrator and governor with a passion for the people’s well-being.

They spoke in their Palaces at Araromi-Obu and Ayesan respectively when the AD candidate paid them courtesy calls during his campaign tour.

Oba Adelola, who lamented maginalisation of the South Senatorial District in infrastructures development, said the pitiable state of Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa; the total blackout in the district spanning about three years and general neglect called for urgent attention.

The monarch said his community, hosts the Araromi Rubber Plantation, which he described as “an economic powerhouse” that has been abandoned.

Oba Olaleye lamented that the parlous state of the road leading to Ayesan community and total power blackout in the area for the past three years.

Responding, Oke said no part of Ondo State should be marginalised or have business with poverty in view of its vast natural endowment and the foundation laid by the founding fathers of the state.

He said his mission was to right the wrongs and put the state on the path of steady development.
