Nigerian Entrepreneurship Summit & Honours, NESH, has vowed to mobilise Nigerian Entrepreneurs to lead the country out of the current economic recession.
The NESH Founder, Mr. Emeka Ugwu-Oju, who made the pledge said that NESH will be in the forefront of promoting the patronage of Nigerian made goods and services by the governments and people , but on the condition that the goods and services will be made in Nigeria for the world and not for Nigerians alone.
Speaking at an interactive session with the media, he said “In other words, strict adherence to global standards and quality will be adhered. This period of recession is a time that Nigerians need to showcase their talents and we have youth that needed to be encouraged to show their potentials.”
Ugwu-Oju disclosed that NESH, as conceived will hold annually and will provide an avenue for thought leadership and engagement, knowledge exchange, networking, benchmarking and appreciation of the contribution of entrepreneurs to national development.
According to him “NESH will offer not only live hub but also build out an online platform (NESH TV) for and about entrepreneurs, offering advice , case studies, news and analysis. There will also be a NESH for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 years named NESH-NXT. Some of the NESH-NXT attendees will also participate in the NESH to gain further insight and network with more experienced entrepreneurs.”
Speaking further, Ugwu-Uju stated that NESH will take place at Oriental Hotel, Lagos from November 17th, 2016, while NESH-NXT will hold November 16, 2016 at the same venue
According to him “Expected to be in attendance at the NESH are leading lights of Nigerian entrepreneurship and the public sector led by Grand Patron of NESH, Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.”
Explaining the activities of the event, he said “NESH as currently planned will consist of result and action based summit during the day and Gala Dinner in the evening. There will be presentation in plenary on the state of the economy from 2016 to date and its impact on Nigerian entrepreneurs.
There will be roundtable discussions on some particular sectors of the economy; presentation of the NESH Top Ten High Impact Projects, HIP Watch list; annual keynote speech will be delivered by selected high profile global entrepreneur to share his experience with Nigerian entrepreneurs; honours and recognition which comprise of NESH Titans, NESH Entrepreneur of the Year, NESG 100, NESH 500, NESH Award to State, governments.
