Asaba—The liasion officer of Host Communities of Nigeria, HOSTCOM, Chief Francis Vevakpor has commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the appointment of Dr. Mike Emuh, national chairman of HOSTCOM into the governing council and Board of Trustees, BoT, of the trust fund for the Hydrocarbon Pollution and Remediation Project, HYPREP, at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Chief Vevakpor who spoke at the HOSTCOM guest house in Effurun GRA, Uvwie LGA, Delta state noted that what the President did was the first of its kind in the history of HOSTCOM, saying the appointment of Dr. Mike Emuh is one of the best things that happened to the Niger Delta people.

He maintained that the Federal Government’s recognition of HOSTCOM is a practical demonstration that President Buhari truly cares for the Niger Delta region.

Vevakpor added that Dr. Emuh, the HOSTCOM boss is a man who performs his duties with high proficiency and vouched that Dr. Emuh would prove himself a worthy ambassador of HOSTCOM in the new board.

He further stressed that with President Muhammadu Buhari in the saddle of leadership, unprecedented development would be ushered into Niger Delta in particular and Nigeria in general.
