Imansuagbon

AHEAD of the June 18 governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, a social-cultural organization in the state, the Esan Renaissance, yesterday urged APC delegates in Edo Central senatorial district to back Mr. Kenneth Imasuangbon as the consensus candidate of the Esan.
After reviewing the five APC aspirants of Esan extraction who include Imasuagbon, Prof. Oserhiemen Osunbor, Comrade Peter Esele, Mr. Austine Emuan and Tina Agbarha, the group said Imasuagbon stands a better chance of defeating other APC aspirants from Edo South and therefore stressed the need to back his aspiration.
Coordinator of the group, Comrade Emmanuel Okoruwa, said in a statement that “Imasuagbon remains the only hope of the Esan people in this race, and that is why we are endorsing him. We are calling on all our delegates to vote for Imasuagbon. He is a hard working young man who must be encouraged to serve his people.
“Prof Osunbor is our son whom we respect while others are equally good, but we believe that Imasuagbon has the structure to battle other Edo South aspirants because he has done it before, and we love him” he stated.
“Our immediate focus which is an anEsan person for Edo State Governor 2016 was exhaustively discussed during the meeting. We observed that at least five persons from Esan were vying for the governorship seat on different party platforms. We also observed that each of them have what it takes to be a good governor, and that is if any of them is given the chance to govern the state the person will perform creditably well. However we can’t have all of them as governors at the same time” it stated.
