There was controversy yesterday as a number of the delegates scheduled for tomorrow’s governorship primaries were said to have gone missing or disappeared. Vanguard gathered that a number of the delegates who were disappeared were, however, being quartered in choice hotels under heavy police guard.
A top source in the party lamenting the way some of the aspirants were playing the game, rued that democracy was losing the meaning through the manipulations.
A source campaigning for one of the leading aspirants complained last night that delegates from Edo North had been sequestered away making it impossible for his camp to approach them where they were camped in two hotels in Auchi.
“They have used police to barricade the delegates,” the source disclosed yesterday.
