Nigerian highlife musician Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, visited orphanage, Didier Drogba Foundation in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to celebrate the season of love. The singer was on West Africa performing tour to that country headlined “close-up show” at Palais De La Culture, alongside popular Ivorian songstress Josey.
A statement by Flavour, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja, stated it has been his tradition to give, and reach out to the needy. “For me, the biggest blessing about my music and profession is that I have the ability to impact positively on the lives of others across all backgrounds. “Giving back has always been an important principle to me. I’m just thankful that I’m now in the position to do so, consistently,” he said.
In the statement, the award winning singer, showed love to the orphans and displaced children as he showered them with gifts, food items.
He also spent some time listening to some of their sad stories. The statement said that Flavour appeared on one of the country’s top rated TV channel, RTI Ivorian TV, as well as Jam Radio station.
The Didier Drogba Foundation was founded by footballer Didier Drogba in year 2007. And it aims to provide support to the Ivorian people and vulnerable African in the field of health and education.
